Sample Essay on Children observations

Essay on Children Observation

So that you can better understand the theories of human development learnt in class I decided to build an unobtrusive observation of children at play. I tried to observe the children from the facts settings and for the extremely reason would observe the children playing soccer from the local park.

Age of children: approximately from 10 till 13 many years of age.
Gender: all males
Time spent on observation: 60 minutes.

The observations have been truly of excellent use to me in my attempt to realize the theories of development of children. Please refer to the list below of my recorded obesrvation related ot the group of children:

Children aged 10-13 many years are capable and ready of obtaining in teams. As being a matter of truth I was amazed at watching these youngsters playing combos, passing the soccerball from a single to one more to be able to outwit the other team. And although, this was not any formal junior high soccer tournament, but rather a recreational game, children showed signs of understanding how teams jobs and seemed to like being a component with the given team.
Young children aged 10-13 years show respect for authority. Whenever the parents of kids referred to as them, they would give up the game and pick parents. Also, the kids would listen to the non-relatives adults after the game is over, instead of to remian on the team.
Little ones under observation willfully type hierarchy. These children for example numerous other human beings showed good respect for human strength and it was not suprising how the tallest and strongest kids (not fattest and biggest) had been leaders (both formal and ifnormal) with the two teams that played soccer. Whenever, a single failed to obey the commands with the leader, the leader would not hesitate to yell at the poor kid or even push him. Thus, I concluded that for instance from the animal world, the little ones aged 10-13 show respect for power and are motivated by the punishment (or avoiding it).
Young children are cruel. The youngsters besides obeying the leadership during the strongest kid in the teams try to establish several other leadership positions in accordance with force and strength. Thus, instead of each child obeying 1 strongest kid, they nevertheless try to find an individual weaker than themselves and attempt to rule more than that person. Even though everyone would listen to what the leader says, each kid would command somebody who is weaker than himself. The cruelty is noticed from the simple fact that ultimatley there's one weak and cowardly kid who is made fun of over a regular basis and is unable to somehow change the hierarchy due to the fact physically that kid is not fit to prove his position or possibly too peaceful to try and do that. As a result of this sort of power games, the most aggressive and physically fit look to become always on top even though probably the most peaceful and non-aggressive (not necessarily unfit or ugly) assume the lower level position inside hierarchy.
