Rashtrapati Bhavan, the official residence of the President of India, is located at the westmost end of the 2 1/2km great Rajpath (Kings path), a tree-lined thoroughfare flanked by lawns with orderly flowerbeds and clipped hedges, with the India gate at the turnabout end.
