Twenty-four hours a day, women in Darfur atomic number 18 at risk of cosmos raped because the Sudanese government uses rape as a weapon of war. Women as issue as eight years old be being raped and sometimes raped by five or six peck at a time. The Darfur Conflict began when the African population noticed that the Sudanese government was favoring the Arab population. T he Africans would not stand for this discrimination so they yielded weapons and the racial extermination began. The united States has not intervened in Darfur even though over 200,000 lives get been lost. As a world power, the United States own a responsibility to lead the world to peace and prosperity. As a nation should we take pride in ourselves even though we turn a blind eye away from genocide? He who does not learn from history is doomed to accept it. (Robertson 1). The United States is a world power and thus has a responsibility to lead the world into (peace and prosperity). Havent the people of the United States learned from our mistakes? The comparable war has been fought here on US soil.

Discrimination is always wrong no effect what race or ethnic group. The Civil War has taught us that much. But what about World War II and the genocide that went on then. Hitlers forces killed twelve million Jews. How long until Darfur reaches the same amount. Darfur shows the same characteristics as those two wars. Mass graves and starvation were seen during those wars. So why doesnt the United States intervene? We are supposed to learn from history. Darfur is a state in Sudan that is disrupt up into three parts; the west, south, and north states of Darfur.
