Cognitive Dissonance

Cognitive Dissonance Theory The Cognitive Dissonance Theory is oneness of several consistency theories. Consistency theories generally propose that the thought operates as an intermediary amongst stimulus and response. Such theories take for that when people receive information their mind then organizes it into a pattern with previously encountered stimuli (West & Tunner, 2010). Based on the inquiry of Leon Frestinger, The Cognitive Dissonance Theory (CDT) argues that dissonance is an uncomfortable sense of smell of imbalance that motivates people to take steps to reduce it. The beliefs do not conflict because they have no relation. Frestingers theory of cognitive dissonance looks at how the discomfort of dissonance motivates change in communication.
