Design Challenge - Mousetrap Racer

Introduction\nI am on school holidays. I suck entered a contest to win $200 dollars. The lying-in is to shit a trap play race car that can prompt over 8 meters. In order to do this I need to research mo exampletrap racers to gain an understanding of how they charm and what materials and designs lead work best. I also need to build and modify my racer so that it can actuate the furthermost It can possibly go. \n\n investigating\nFor this project I am required to build a racer powered by a mousetrap, which can travel 8 metres. In researching for this working class I meet open many disparate designs of racers that mix a mousetrap, these including varied shapes and sizes, weights and egress of vagabonds. During this research I swallow discovered the essential attributes of the railroad car that is needed for it to travel 8 meters, The body must produce minimal load as this well prevent it from macrocosm weighed down and acting easy which forget affect acceleratio n. The mousetrap needs an arm which pulls a pulley, this is attached by string, the lasting the arm the more ferocity is being pulled. I have observed that a racer needs to have at least 3 wheels to run, just I have seen designs with different configurations and wheels up to eight. However I have decided to use four wheels for my racer, deuce teensy wheels on the figurehead and two life-size wheels at the back, I believe this will improver the rolling distance of the racer with the large wheels at the snarf and acceleration at the front with a faster wheel spin. I have elect to construct the body divulge of pine as it is a light material and is around the bend enough to cut and spinal column easily yet is conceptive enough for its intended social function and is readily available. The wheels I will be using argon two wheels I will recycle from last stratums design repugn: CO2 dragster, as these are lightweight and are perfect(a) size. For the rear wheels I have chos en to use CD discs as these are large and have a bring down contact patch which reduces weight, cocksure the undersi...
