The Lottery
Johann Kaspar Lavater once said, The craftiest trickery be too short and ragged a cloak to pass a bad heart. In her short trading floor, The Lottery, Shirley Jackson uses put-on to illustrate the evil in peoples hearts. In the beginning, Jackson depicts a small friendly town, but the terminate exposes the evil of the hu opus heart.
