Ree has a roofy of different characteristics displayed in each of the three scenes featuring her and Sheriff Baskin. In the first scene she exercises her loyalty towards her come when she says you have to prove it each time, as the Sheriff refers to his dealings with drugs. She also shows the Sheriff that shes the leader of the habitation when he asked to speak to her mother and she tells him that he can call down to her about whatever it is that he unavoidablenessed to talk to her about. She held her lay down as he questioned her. She also exposed his ignorance of knowing where her father truly is, and shortly after, decides to explore her town in bet of her father so that her home isnt stripped from her and her siblings.
The codes were fundamentally rules understood by the partnership which withheld information to not charge individuals of things that they practice, such as drugs, killings, and loyalty to family. Ree breaks these codes by snooping around the community asking questions about her father. She does this because her father put the house up for bond. She chooses to break these codes to support her two little siblings; twelve division old gent and six year old Ashley. Sonny and Ashley are her responsibility being that her mother is suffering from a mental disorder which prevents her from talking.
