In the 1990 movie Ghost, many things can be told about the characters, surface-to-air missile and Oda Mae, just by looking at their belongings.

Oda Mae is a phony psychic that owns a lot of bewitch materials in her place of business. What this portrays about her is that she believes in the spiritual world. In order for her to properly run her business and fool her customers into acquiring their fortunes told, she must uphold her image of a spiritual person by having these objects all around her. The clothes that Oda Mae wears are idle and patterned clothing. This shows that she is a very abstract person because the things she wears are not, in anyway, plain.

Sam on the other hand is a very casual person. He wears very neat and well- put unneurotic clothes, but at the same time he is comfortable. He is a jeans and plain t- shirt kind of guy. This says that he is a serious, yet laid back type of person.



Sam has common belongings in his home, in the sense that he is not artsy nor modern.
